IF YOU enjoy singing, join the East London Cantata Choir. The choir will be starting the new year with a social get-together on Monday January 16 at 5pm in the Band Room at Hudson Park High School.
“Anyone who has a love of singing is welcome to come along and meet us with a view of joining our enthusiastic and friendly group of choristers,” Cantata secretary Yvonne Daniels said.
“Ability to read music is not a requirement and our practices, which take place every Monday from 5 to 6.30pm, are relaxed and enjoyable under the leadership of director and conductor Dr Bruce Johnson.”
The choir has served the community since the early 1970s and has given many free performances of both small and large-scale works which are always very well received by loyal and appreciative audiences.
“We look forward to meeting all those interested – come along to meet us and enjoy a chat, drink and snack with us on Monday,” Daniels said.
