THE Guild Theatre is inviting young performers from the age of six to 16 to audition for its upcoming production of Adventures in Fairy Tale Forest.
This is a 30-minute production aimed at children between the ages of three and 10, to be presented at the Umtiza Arts Festival on May 13.
The production is loosely based on the classic stories and classic characters such as Humpty Dumpty, Goldilocks, Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs.
These time-honoured tales are mashed together to create a brand new adventure that will transport audiences to the magic of Fairy Tale Forest, where anything is possible.
Come along and join in the antics of Goldilocks, Red, Big Bad and friends as they set out to explore Fairy Tale Forest.
Adventures in Fairy tale Forest will be staged during the Umtiza Arts Festival at the Guild Theatre on May 13.
The characters to be auditioned for are Goldilocks, the Three Little Piglets, Red, Big Bad, Bear, Humpty Dumpty, the chorus, seven male or female (rabbits, mice and such), dancers, five young girls (the butterflies, bees and others).
Auditions will be held at the Guild Theatre from Wednesday at 3pm to 5pm and April 1 from 11am to 12 noon.
