GO! People: Nasine van Rensburg-Boltt

Q: Occupation? Community/charity work?

A: I am a full-time vocal coach by trade, and a producer and director for ELPAC, which is a community-based theatre group here in East London.

Q: What motivates you to achieve more in life?

A: My passion for what I do. I want to achieve more, not only for myself, but also for performance art in East London. I want to be able to give everyone an opportunity to be on stage.

Q: What keeps you grounded?

A: I would say my husband, mother and best friends. They are my biggest supporters, cheerleaders and motivation but they also keep me in check.

Q: What is your motto in life?

A: “Live. Love. Let Go.” Live your life to the fullest, love with everything that you have, but let go of the things that do not make you happy or enrich your life in any way.

Q: What do you value most?

A: Family and friendship!!! I would be nothing without these people in my life.

Q: What books are you currently reading?

A: I spend most of my time either in a classroom teaching, or a rehearsal room, so when I do get the odd ‘off’ moment, I tend to use it to catch up on sleep. So no books for me.

Q: What would you like to see change in our country?

A: I would love to see people hate less, and love more.

Q. What is your favourite family destination in East London?

A: Pine Creek. They have good food, and it is in a beautiful setting, so we enjoy going there with family.

Q: Where is your favourite place to eat in East London?

A: I love a good steak so I would say that it is The Cow Shed or I also enjoy Lavender Blue.
