Last week, the Selborne Primary Steel Band, along with their teacher Michelle Venter, travelled to Port Elizabeth to take part in Lawson Brow n ’s 20th Celebration Steel Band Festival. They performed with eight other bands from the Eastern Cape including Queens Junior, Theodore Herzl, Graeme College and Lawson Brown. This was the first time this group of boys have played in a festival of this kind and next year they will possibly represent the Eastern Cape, along with all the other bands, at a Steel Band Festival to be held in Cape Town Picture: SUPPLIED
