THE Wild Coast Jikeleza Festival will again enthral the senses of both young and old when it takes place this weekend at the Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve grounds.
About 30km from East London, the fun will run daily from 9am to 5pm. The event is known as the best value for money family fun festival in our region and this year will be no different, with festival fun ranging from non-stop live entertainment and loads of activities to fit every taste and pocket. For the fit and adventurous outdoor lovers, Backyard Adventures will once again be staging a challenging and fun line-up to suit all abilities.
“Festival-goers will not be disappointed as the organisers are pulling out all stops to ensure two days filled to the brim with great activities ranging from live music, dance, kids entertainment and a Xhosa cultural village experience in honour of the legendary Mama Tofu from Ngxingxolo, elephant interaction sessions, scrumptious festival food and a firm favourite the Talisman Craft Brewery tent comprising of different craft beers and we are certain that you will definitely #takeadrivestayawhile,” a statement from the organisers said.
There will also be entertainment for the whole family from food village and plenty of quality craft and boutique stalls as well as helicopter flips. For the kids there will be a jumping castle, puppet shows, face painting and magic show as well as a tea garden and fashion show for mom. Entrance is R50 for adults and R25 for children under 13.
