THE East London netball league officially started at Hamilton Sports Club on Saturday with 10 teams from Buffalo City Municipality playing in entertaining matches.
The University of Fort Hare (UFH) Alice Campus A side dominated the Spiders Netball Club, 32-31.
Aloes’ second team was victorious over Walter Sisulu University’s (WSU) second team, East London Campus, 34-19 , while the UFH first team of the East London campus beat Romans 39-29.
Cascade netball team suffered a loss against UFH second team of Alice campus,18-52, and the Aloes’ men team destroyed the WSU first team of the EL campus 47-13.
The league will resume on April 7.
