Looking back (2)

 

East London, or, as it was known as ‘Port of East London’  sprung and grew as a result of the important harbour at the mouth of the Buffalo River.

There have been so many changes over the past almost 180 years, from a basic difficult to navigate harbour, requiring constant enlargement to suit, and the series of ships as beautiful as are the remarkable changes over the years.
