Hercules hosts bootcamp for the disadvantaged

To celebrate June 16 through fitness, the Hercules Bootcamp SA hosted a Youth Day training program for the Xhanti Msauli Foundation on Saturday at the Motion Fitness Gym in Hemingways Mall.

Hercules Bootcamp Founder Singwa Silinga said the training session was part of taking care of the youth’s health. According to him, about 40 youngsters from Mdantsane attended.

Silinga added that another purpose of the event was to monitor the well-being of children from disadvantaged backgrounds and expose them to opportunities.

“You have to understand that these kids come from disadvantaged backgrounds where the schools that they go to have no electricity, running water, sporting facilities or teachers that are qualified in any sport in order to coach them. This was the first time in a proper health club for about 90% of them,” he said.

He said that he had given the youngsters a task of selling tickets for the coming Hercules Bootcamp Fitness Family FUN DAY that will take place in March, 30, 2019 and will then give them a R20 000 donation for over 900 tickets sold.
