The forecast for Buffalo City indicates that strong winds with gusts up to 45 km/hour could be experienced today, 02 July.
The public is then advised to take care of items that could pose risk to them and their surroundings. Tents, gazebos, plastic dirt bins and any other loose item must be properly secured or stowed away.
Residents are also asked to look out for falling tree branches. Damaged powerlines must be reported to 043 050 5683 and must not be approached until it is safe to do so.
