An exquisite old post card circa 1907- the mouth of the Buffalo River, East London, showing two ‘barques’ against the breakwater on the right; and two tugs, one anchored, and one, that looks like it is on duty. The harbour was always ad extremely busy area, with ship movements flowing daily.
Passengers would disembark, from distant lands, and commerce, which was brisk, had the harbour expanding, which ensure ongoing expansion, and brisk trade.
