Rehearsals are underway for the upcoming Wizards of Br oadway, which will grace the Guild Theatre stage for one night only on January 18.
Written, produced and directed by talented local Daniel Anderson, the show promises to take audiences on a tour through past decades.
“There are lots of pieces and I love each one,” Anderson said.
“One that sticks out for me is Some Enchanted Evening from theatre music composer Richard Rodgers, who produced the music for Sound of Music.”
He added that extensive research on song choice was made to ensure the show would delight the audience.
Anderson will be joined on stage by piano maestro Daniel Brodie and vocalist Hannah Moerdyk.
“Daniel and Hannah are some of my closest friends and we share a love and chemistry for this type of music.
“They are extremely talented and it is an absolute privilege to work with them, not to mention that we are on the same page in terms of work ethic,” he added.
The last Wizards of Broadway show took place in August 2018 while the trio were at Stirling High School.
The programme includes a wide variety of music that is sure to take young and old on an emotional roller-coaster.
The show starts 7.30pm. Tickets are available through Computicket at R120 for adults and R100 for children.
