Since 2016, PnA Stationers East London have run a Back-To-School Colouring-in Competition in partnership with the GO! & Express, which has grown phenomenally over the years.
The competition received 65 entries in 2018, while the most recent iteration got 100.
However, the competition is not just about winning the fantastic prizes on offer.
All entrants and members of the public are also encouraged to contribute towards the stationery drive that is run in conjunction with the competition.
This year’s recipients were the children at the EL Child & Youth Care Centre’s (ELCYCC) Glen Stella Campus.
GO! & Express and PnA representatives joined Penny the PnA mascot and other super- heroes recently to hand over the stationery to ELCYCC director Larné Robus.
Founded in 1924, ELCYCC continues to play a vital role in caring for the needs of vulnerable children and youth, whose ages range from birth to 18 years.
The centre has an estimated 105 children from disadvantaged or dysfunctional families residing on the premises and also assists more than 2,000 children from the community on a daily basis.
ELCYCC believes in empowering the children with the necessary skills to be reunited and reintegrated with their families and back into their communities.
Robus can be contacted on 043-7307212, or find ELCYCC on Facebook – East London Child and Youth Care Centre.
