South Africa had 772 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize.
There have been a total of 19,465 deaths to date from a total of 727,595 confirmed positive cases with 97,326 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 657,500 recoveries.
With 229,040 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
