Over a week after the first announcement of its return, Eskom announced on Friday that it would be suspending loadshedding from 12pm thanks to its generation units returning to service.
According to a statement published on their Twitter account, Eskom was able to restore generating units at their Duhva, Medupi, Kendal, Kriel and Kusile power stations on Thursday, with Camden and Majuba expected to return to operation by the end of the week.
Eskom said they apologised to the people of South Africa for the inconvenience caused by loadshedding.
