The DaySpring Dance Company will be performing The Issue of Blood at the Guild Theatre on October 16.
According to director and choreographer Kati Ansell, the show tells the story of various women who have experienced joy, heartache and pain.
“I’m so very pleased that East London audiences will finally have an opportunity to attend these performances, within Level 2 restrictions.
“It has been a long wait for DaySpring Dance Company to share this production that was scheduled to be performed in in May 2020,” she said.
The Issue of Blood was previously performed at the National Arts Fringe Festival to positive reviews.
A performance had originally been planned for May last year but had to be postponed due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
Ansell said that dancers had been working hard in preparation for the show, and audiences could expect a well-rounded theatrical and dance experience full of beautiful costumes and choreography.
Tickets for The Issue of Blood are available from Computicket at R120 per person. Shows start at 3pm and 7pm.
