East London musician Jordan Dysel started the year off on a high note with the release of his new single Curious.
The energetic track, released on January 20 on streaming platforms, was written by Dysel and produced by Hendrik Joerges.
The Sampra development fund provided the production costs.
Dysel said,“This song represents the start of a new chapter for me.
“It is more personal and I think it shows my love for pop and dance.
“It’s about getting out of your comfort zone and having something good come out of making that leap.
“The listener can relate to it and interpret it differently.
“I loved experimenting with my voice and different melodies on this song. Dance and pop music has always been my preference, so it felt natural to make something that is upbeat and danceable.”
Dysel’s musical journey began with taking piano lessons as a young child.
He started taking his musical gift seriously in high school, though he had no vocal training, which later led to his commercial success on local radio stations.
His 2021 Atypical single featured in Algoa FM’s Top 100 hits of the year.
“I am very happy with the support I’ve been getting from the local radio stations,” he said.
“I have more songs I want to release as well as a remix. Later on in the year,
I want to release an EP.
“I look forward to having the opportunity to perform for my supporters. Right now, I have no specific goals in mind.
“I am enjoying just going with the flow and enjoying the musical journey.”
