East London SPCA has organised a fun Valentines Day game night that will double as a fundraiser to help take care of the organisation’s day-to-day needs. Guests are invited to take part in a special musical bingo that will include a range of love songs that have been released through the ages.
According to Margaret Pautz, representative of the ELSPCA, the bingo evening will be a fun way for people to enjoy the festivities of Valentine’s Day, while raising funds for the sanctuary.
“We want to raise much-needed funds for the East London SPCA so we decided to organise a pre-valentine event. A musical bingo is something fun and different,” said Puatz.
The funds will be used to take care of the SPCA’s daily upkeep expenses, which include food for the animals, medication, stationery, utilities, among other things.
Some of the exciting prizes up for grabs include movie vouchers, drinks and food vouchers, beauty vouchers, tattoo vouchers and Soul Dance tickets, among others.
Legends Showcase on Stewart Drive, has proudly sponsored the venue for the event, as well as some of the various prizes up for grabs.
To enter, participants can purchase their tickets from the EL Charity Shop for R120 per person, or book their seats via email at fundraising@elspca.or.za and then pay at the door.
The ticket price includes a light meal, and three bingo cards. Additional cards are R10 each.
