East London-born dancer Chace Collett spent two days last week filming an episode of the TV show, Forever Young, with Dr Pablo Prichard in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the US.
The former Merrifield pupil moved to Los Angeles in 2022, and her career has rocketed.
The 27-year-old has a residency at MainRõ on Hollywood Boulevard and has also just finished filming the new BODi (Beachbody) fitness series.
“It was super fun — I had the best time. “It was a challenge but I felt in alignment with myself.”
Last week Collett booked her third BODi filming. Forever Young is a health and wellness NBC series that features professionals in the field.
She’s being featured as a dancer and flexibility master. “Flexibility is part of dance — so I’ve been mastering flexibility my whole career,” she said.
She was three when her mom signed her up for her first ballet class in then-King William’s Town. She has since won several world and SA titles.
“It’s really exciting — NBC is a huge network.
“I was contacted by the casting director, then had an interview, and was cast.”
Collett is signed with McDonald Selznick Associates (MSA), an agency representing some of the globe’s top celebrities.
She trained at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, Steps on Broadway in New York, Joffrey Ballet School, Alvin Ailey, London’s Royal Ballet School, and Royal Academy of Dance.
This isn’t her first TV appearance — Collett has been on both Dancing with the Stars (as a background dancer) and The Masked Singer (where she body-doubled for celebrities).
“But it’s my first TV appearance in the US for this kind of show — I’m excited,” she said.
“Right now, the job offers are flowing in for the festive season,” she said. “So I have to sit down and figure out what I can take.
“But as for Christmas – I wish I could spend it with my family so bad – but I’ll try make the best of it here, and go see the snow on the mountains.”
