In a statement issued by health minister Dr Zweli Mkhize on Sunday evening, confirmed positive COVID-19 cases have risen to 3,158.
Mkhize reported two additional COVID-19 related deaths, to bring the toll to 54. These occurred in Western Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The total number of tests conducted to date is 114 711.

On Saturday, confirmed COVID-19 cases stood at 3, 034 jumping up by 124. Meanwhile, the Eastern Cape recorded 270 cases, which increased slightly by 23.
