Autism Expo celebrates inclusion, community

The Autism Expo and Family Fun Day 2026 brought together families, educators, service providers, and community members for a day of learning, connection, and celebration.

College Street School’s Julie Cromhout expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the event.

“Your presence helped make the event a wonderful success and a meaningful celebration of inclusion, awareness, and community,” said Cromhout.

She extended special thanks to the guest speakers who shared their knowledge, experiences, and valuable insights on autism, as well as exhibitors who showcased services, resources, and support available to autistic people and their families.

Cromhout also acknowledged the wonderful contributions of volunteers, staff members, parents, pupils, as well as community members whose dedication and enthusiasm helped make the day possible.

“Your support made it possible for families to connect, learn, and have fun together,” a grateful Cromhout said.

The event provided a platform for families to access information, engage with support networks, and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities in an inclusive environment.

Cromhout said they were grateful to everyone who played a role in making the Autism Expo and Family Fun Day a memorable occasion, while reinforcing the importance of understanding, acceptance, and support for autistic people and their families.
