From humble beginnings with less than 200 swimmers 16 years ago, the Merrifield Mile has now grown to include over 1000 participants.
The official launch took place on Wednesday evening and saw organisers, sponsors, supporters and Merrifield School staff members enjoy an evening filled with reminiscing about the Mile’s past successes and anticipating Sunday’s event at Wriggleswade dam.
As the only open water, long-distance swimming event of its kind in the region, the Merrifield Mile promises to be a day full of fun and adventure for the whole family.
