Clarendon High School saw mixed results at their recent derby day against Port Elizabeth-based Collegiate Girls High School.
Their netball suffered a major blow, losing 10 of their 12 games. The third team managed to draw 13-13 while the only victory came from the second team who narrowly beat their opponents 11-10.
Hockey also took a knock with Clarendon lost six of the 12 hockey matches played. They managed to achieve two wins when the U16C and U14A sides won 1-0 and 2-1. respectively.
Things went much better on the squash courts. All 10 Clarendon squash players won managed to win their games.
, achieving a final result of 10-0 by the end. Clarendon tennis was also successful with Clarendon beat Collegiate 13-11.
Finally, the Clarendon chess team secured a win with 3.5 points to their rivals’ 1.5.
