Speaking about their new culinary adventure, Gonubie couple Kristin Schwedhelm and Candice Van Tonder said they were stepping out the world of the normal, and were making creative food to order in East London.
The couple said they founded Tasty Creations to offer more than just food – “it’s a movement towards flavour, creativity, and memorable experiences”.
They told Go! their brand was built on “passion, experience, and the love of food”.
Kristin said they were pooling their decade each in the hospitality industry.
“We’ve come together to create something fresh and exciting for East London: a culinary experience that goes beyond the ordinary.”
They have designed Tasty Creations to offer a wide selection of meals, platters, pastries, and desserts.
“Each is designed to delight your taste buds and leave a lasting impression.”
They said the best part of the setup had been doing it all at reasonable, competitive prices.
“We are making great food accessible without compromising on quality,” they said after watching the Bok match where we smashed New Zealand.
“From intimate gatherings to big celebrations, we want our platters to be perfect for all occasions — whether you’re hosting family, friends, or colleagues.”
They said they had put their energy into bringing “variety, flavour, and flair to your table”.
“We want to push dishes to the next level – keeping up with food trends, while adding our own creative twist to every bite.
“East London deserves more than the everyday norm, and that’s exactly what we’re here to deliver: unique flavours, vibrant presentations, and a brand that’s passionate about making every event and meal truly special.
