Cambridge High School enjoyed a standout year at the 2025 Buffalo City Eisteddfod prize-giving recently.

Pupils showcased their talent, creativity, and passion for the arts, earning an impressive collection of awards across various categories.

The school won five tripple golds, seven double golds, 21 golds, 21 silvers and four bronze awards.

Individual highlights: Michael Scott received a medal for his powerful grade 12 monologue, and Amahle Lande was awarded a medal and a trophy for her Shakespeare monologue.

Yolanda Fekisi secured two medals and two trophies, including Best Overall Senior Poetry Performer and Best Senior Original Verse.

The school said: “These awards are a true reflection of the commitment, discipline, and passion shown by our learners, as well as the guidance and dedication of our teachers.

“Cambridge High is immensely proud of the talent on display this year.” Congratulations were extended to every pupil, teacher, and parent who contributed to this success, with the school looking ahead to even greater accomplishments in 2026.
