Selborne College has proudly announced Aaron James as the custodian of the key and head prefect for 2026 academic year.
Speaking to the Go about his new role, James, said it is an honour to serve the prestigious school and he promised to usher in a new era.
“I look forward to leading our school with the moral values and leadership skills that I have developed through my journey at Selborne as well as my strong faith in Jesus Christ,” James said.
“As a pupil who has walked the path from pups to college, I have come to understand the importance of brotherhood, and I share this ideal with the prefect body of 2026.”
James acknowledge the school’s traditions which span over many generations.
“It is through walking these halls that we learn to follow in the footsteps of the men who came before us.
“As we learn about pride, we nurture respect for others and grow our minds.
“The focus of the prefects this year is to foster an environment of brotherhood and to build strong relationships as our new grade 8 brothers filter in,” James said.
He said they aimed to make a difference in the small things “that set Selborne apart from the rest”.
He said this was a call to action for all the boys of Selborne College to take a dream and live it.
“Selborne College is not just a school; it is an experience where boys become men of the future.”
