Top class racing at Border 100
THE Border 100 Race Day was held at the East London Grand Prix Circuit last week Saturday with a good crowd in to watch some top class motorsport.

In the Dunlop Regional/Club Historics A section Ryan Boy came first ahead of Derek Boy and Darron Gudmanz. In the B class of the historics, Alec Gudmanz took the honours, while Wayne Botha won the C class with Brendan Smith and Sean Rudolph following him in.
Historical D section was won by Quintin Lessing, with Ryno Burger in second and Graham Lessing third. Tom Flynn took the E class honours in the E historics with Mark Schulpfort and Carl Fentham following.
In the Modified Saloons A class Bevan Swartz pipped Darron Gudmanz to the line for the win, while in the B section Shannon Barron won with Jody van Zummeren second and Owen Bridger third. The Modifieds C saw Kevin Kelly on top followed home by Dean Ball and Jacques Petzer.

Marais Ellis in first, Philip Weise second and Richard Clarke third was the way in ended in the Modified D class.

In the Modified Saloons Klippies Krige beat Marais Ellis and Philip Weise to the line.

The Border 100 Motorcycles section was also hotly contested, with Pierre Le Roux winning ahead of Kacey Myburgh and Jonathan Webster.
