Building Empire by helping others

MTHATHA-BORN businesswoman Belinda van der Walt is working hard to make a difference in the community of East London.

Van der Walt is the founder of Empire, a company that focuses on events, security, lifestyle, beauty and technical logistics.

“Empire was a dream built on the foundation for my love of dealing with people, music and the different facets of events planning,” said Van der Walt. this week.

She and her employees also take time to give back to the community and recently visited Masizakhe Children’s Home in Mdantsane where they handed out party packs. The pupils were given party packs and the group spent time with the children.

“Masizakhe Children’s Home has found a place in all our hearts, and we will return there soon.”

In January, the group donated stationery, backpacks and other school necessities to various underprivileged children around East London while contributions are also made to feeding schemes in East London. the city.

“Social media is an extremely powerful platform, as that is where we find some of the projects that are in need of assistance – from helping with baby formula and nappies to aiding the elderly with food parcels and paying a month’s rent. When the need is there, we try to help.”

Funds used are generated by Empire. “We are blessed to be a preferred service provider to our clients, and giving back to the community is our way of saying, thank you for blessing us.”
