The East Coast Quilter’s Guild (ECQG) are hosting their annual quilt show at the Courtney Latimer Hall from Friday, November 9 until Saturday, November 17.
This will be the 28th year of the show, with the first one taking place at Floradale Nursery in 1990.
“All the quilts, wall hangings and small art pieces of work have never been displayed before.
“This year we have 34 entries of various sizes and styles,” said ECQG chairperson chairlady Anne Attenborough.
A special quilt will also be offered in up as a raffle for those attending.
“The raffle quilt this year has been made by one of our small groups who call themselves ‘Thursday Therapy’. It is made of our local fabric called shwe-shwe, which is made by Da Gama Textiles. It is a reversible quilt, which has been made by machine,” Attenborough said.
Money raised from the raffle will be used to cover the cost of the show.
The opening Opening times will be from 9.30am to 4pm, except on Sunday November 11 when the hours are which will be 9.30am to 1pm, and Saturday November 17, which will be from 9.30am to noon.
