Blessings from Me to You, will hold a shoe box party for boys and girls on December 7 at the Creative Hands Crèche in West Bank.
The Christmas-themed party will be a day filled with fun activities to keep the 150 little guests entertained.
Organiser Louise Leendertz Torr said the sponsored shoe boxes were now complete.
“We’re currently short of sponsorship for 100 party packs and two elf costumes. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated,” Torr said.
The group also plans to host another celebration for the elderly pensioners on December 14.
“Instead of having a meal for families for Christmas, this year I decided to rather host pensioners. We have 47 people and would love to spoil them rotten,” she said.
She added that there was no venue and they were also in need of sponsors for donations of “preferably prepared food, including vegetables.”
“We also need help with giving a small gift not exceeding R200 for the pensioners.” Torr said.
Team Blessings has a bi-weekly food drive on Tuesdays which delivers food parcels to the homeless in the city.
