Dancers excel in holiday club event

The Dynamic Dance Studio held their second annual June holiday club showcase at the Arts Theatre on Monday evening, in front of many among a throng of proud parents.

Organiser and dance teacher Vicky Luff said it took it was an intense 10 days to learn 10 different dancing styles.

“Although the numbers were lower this year, the children have adapted in a smoother fashion in terms of their learning,” Luff said.

Emma Van Heerden, 17, said the challenging experience had been lots of fun. found the experience as fun and challenging.

“I learnt styles I’ve never done before and what other studios aren’t offering.

“I’ve moved in ways I never thought of before, and I’m definitely going to join in December,” Van Heerden said.

Guest artists for the night included Cindy Bester, ladies from the Valentine’s Cabaret, and belly dancers Desert Dancers, to name but a few.

Dance styles such as this included contemporary, Spanish and hip hop were on display. to name but a few.

Children involved in exposed to the club take away a sense of confidence, forge relationships with other young dancers, in addition to having loads of fun.
