Buffalo City Municipality is making it possible for 20 entrepreneurs to attend the Daily Dispatch Business Summit – The Corporate Disruptor on Thursday July 25 at the East London ICC.
In addition to attending this world-class summit, three of the 20 twenty entrepreneurs will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pitch their businesses at the summit to a panel of esteemed and respected businessmen, including one of whom which is will be author of Pitch to Win, Justin Cohen.
“South Africa has brilliant budding entrepreneurs with great business ideas but that’s not enough.
“When it comes to winning investment, you’ve got to know how to pitch.
“I’m looking forward to showing them how and selecting the best,” said Cohen said.
The three entrepreneurs will receive a coaching session from the business strategist and global speaker, who will help them to prepare and be
pitch-ready.
The winning entrepreneur will win asset procurement to the value of R30,000, sponsored by BCM, and a R30,000 advertising package from the Daily Dispatch.
“We’re excited about the introduction of the entrepreneur’s pitch at this year’s summit to give a local SMME the opportunity to bolster their business,” said Daily Dispatch general manager Ryan Megaw.
To apply, pitch your business in a one-page letter and submit it to marketing@dispatch.co.za. Clearly indicate the name of your business, registration number, and the date your business was started. Applications close on Friday July 19 at midday. No late entries will be accepted.
Only entrepreneurs whose businesses operate in BCM will be considered.
All applicants must submit Central Supplier Database (CSD) documents and their municipal debt clearance letter.
This high-calibre event is among the top business conferences in the country.
Together with keynote speakers including the likes of venture capitalist Vusi Thembekwayo, business strategist Justin Cohen and Google’s leading cloud partner in Africa, Brett St Clair, this summit aims to unpack disruption in business, and empower attendees with knowledge on how they can become a “disruptor” in their industry in a fast-paced, digitally-driven and consumer-orientated marketplace.
