Rhodes Business School graduate Lungelwa Mtabazi has made a name for herself after establishing Mtabazi&Co Consulting, a strategy and skills development and training firm.
The company provides business solution services to a wide array of clients, namely SMMEs, public and private institutions.
It was registered in 2017 and has been operational since 2018.
“The main vision of the company is to become the preferred advisory firm in the Eastern Cape with a solid footprints across Africa,” Mtabazi said.
“The company was born out of a need to add value in the advisory space by providing affordable, practical and affordable advisory solutions,” Mtabazi said.
She said the biggest challenge she faced while establishing the firm was to find and retain talent.
“The market is highly competitive and the industry we operate in requires very creative, forward-thinking and knowledgeable personnel and this was very hard to find. ,” she said.
“We’re focusing on building a stable, reliable customer portfolio that can provide projects all-year round, so finding creative ways of pro-actively looking for new business becomes a necessity for stability and growth.
“The fully black-owned company offers various of services, such as strategy development and planning, strategy coaching, business model refinement consultation, business advisory services, management consulting, training facilitation and enterprise development programme design.
“The work we do allows us to add value and make a solid impact after every intervention with our clients whether a one on one interaction or designing a programme,” Mtabazi said.
Speaking to The GO!, Mtabazi shared words of inspiration to those thinking of becoming being entrepreneurs.
“Just start and never lose sight of the overall vision. It will be extremely hard at first and it will seem as though things are not working out.
“However, your resilience and belief in yourself and what you are selling, will pay off.”, she said.
