18-year-old Rakhir to attend IMTA convention
Aspiring actor and model Rakhir Bharat,18, has been called back by international talent scouts such as Joey Hunter, Rhavynn Drummer and Joey Zangardi to attend the 2020 International Model & Talent Association convention hosted in New York.
“It has always been my dream to make a breakthrough in this industry and I honestly never knew where to start, until I came in contact with the 33 & Me Talent Agency,” Rakhir said. “They created this platform to kickstart my, as well as many others’ journeys to turning their dreams into a reality.”
After receiving a callback at the East London auditions, Rakhir became eligible to participate in the International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS), which took place at Silverstar Casino, Johannesburg, recently. “It was very surreal once I got called at 12.30am to let me know that I’ll be representing SA in New York next year,” he said. In order to be able to attend, he has to first raise sufficient funds to pay for his trip to get there.
“I am reaching out to potential sponsors as I want to market myself in order to obtain support in my future endeavours. “I’m so grateful to have the support of my family to be able to do what I love. “I also have to give a huge thank you to Elsubie Verlinden for seeing the potential in me that I never knew I had.
“I’m so appreciative of all her support and guidance thus far. “I’m looking forward to the journey ahead,” he said.
