An East London resident is grateful after Boxer Superstores Buffalo Street answered her plea for help recently.
Caroline Tserere had to watch as all her possessions went up in literal smoke when her home burned down recently.
“I lost my business, my identification documents, everything.
“We are homeless and needed help,” she said.
Tserere said her child, who is 11 years old and autistic, was left traumatised by the disaster.
“We have opened up a case with the police,” she said.
Boxer Eastern Cape regional manager Lesley Naicker said they heard about Tserere’s predicament and immediately stepped in to help.
“We needed to make sure that this family, which had suffered so much, had enough supplies to rebuild their lives,” Naicker said.
Tserere received a hamper containing kitchen appliances including a kettle, a two-plate stove and utensils, as well as a large food parcel.
