Entries are still open for the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge, which is set to take place on September 4.
The theme of the event is #LifeLimitless and aims to celebrate the strength and determination of women across the country.
Being a virtual event, women can take part from anywhere in the country.
In addition, every participant will receive a virtual race pack that will include an official challenge t-shirt, access to the My Virtual Challenge digital magazine, a face buff and a medal.
For every entry, SPAR has promised to donate a pack of sanitary pads which, through their Petals Project, will go to school children to help keep them in school.
SPAR Women’s Challenge ambassador and actress Philicity Reeken said that she was grateful for SPAR’s continued support of women.
“This is an opportunity for you to take back a bit of control. The last two years have been a mess, and everything has been out of our hands,” she said.
“By entering, you can say, ‘I will do something for me, every young woman and every woman in my community. I am going to walk, run, crawl, skip or jump, and I am going to feel good at the end’.”
The challenge will take place from 6am to 6pm on September 4. For more information, visit the website.
