What services do you offer?
We offer coaching and training in the form of dance and fitness.
When did your business start?
We are officially open now in 2024.
How did the business idea come about?
I have been a passionate dancer my whole life and love sharing my passion with others and wish to train the next generation of dancers to become the best that they can be.
How did you develop your own dancing skills before you began teaching?
I started dancing at the age of three and I am an accomplished dancer proficient in many dance styles, with lots of competition and show experience. My unwavering dedication to my craft is driven by a desire to inspire and uplift those that I coach, taking pride in my students and the impact that I have on their lives. Along with formal training, I have acknowledged the importance of fitness for dancers which results in excellence and reducing injury.
What type of dancing do you specialise in?
We offer contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, acro and lyrical, as well as stretch and strengthening. We also offer fitness, choreography, and competition training in private or group classes. As we are not syllabus-based, we don’t hold annual examinations, however, assessments, display work, shows and competitions live in our future. I have achieved my qualifications as a dance coach, a body movement specialist, a personal and group fitness trainer, as well as a higher certificate in sports science, so you can be assured of excellent training, in a safe, comfortable and friendly environment.
How many people do you work with?
I am working alone but aim to grow and build multiple studios on the premises and have multiple coaches teaching at a time.
What satisfaction do you get from your work?
I love coaching and sharing my passion. My motto is ‘discover yourself’, which means I strive to help our students discover who they are through dance and help them grow into strong and confident individuals. Through dance we build self-confidence, independence, motivation as well as inspiration, freedom and expression.
Who are your classes targeted towards?
I work mainly with those between the ages of five and 20, in all styles, and I offer adult fitness classes as well.
What goals are you working towards?
Making a success of KSD and being the best coach I can be.
