The Catholic Order of the Knights of Da Gama has once again expressed heartfelt gratitude to Buffalo City residents for their unwavering support of the “Collect a Can — Feed the Hungry” initiative.

Thanks to generous donations at Nick’s SuperSpar in Berea and Spargs SuperSpar in Beacon Bay, a total of 3,758 tins of food, 139 soft goods parcels, and R10,518 in cash were collected in 2024 — amounting to a project value of R75,321.

Additionally, a donation of clothing from Berklee @ Berea and first-year nursing students from Life Health Training College, further boosted the effort.

Now in its 27th year, the project provided 430 food parcels to those in need. The Knights extend their deepest appreciation to the community for their continued kindness and generosity.
