VINCENT SUPERSPAR celebrates 30 years of community, care and commitment
VINCENT SUPERSPAR is marking a major milestone this year as the beloved local supermarket celebrates 30 years of serving the community with dedication, care and heart.
Three decades ago, the store first opened its doors to a sea of eager customers curious to experience something new. What started as a single moment in time has since grown into far more than just a place to shop – becoming a trusted part of everyday life for generations of families in East London.
Over the years, VINCENT SUPERSPAR has built its reputation not only on quality products and service, but also on strong community relationships, meaningful connections and a commitment to uplifting the people it serves.
The store says its story has always been rooted in love and family values. In a touching reflection on the journey, the owners shared that they even had their first date at the site long before it became the bustling supermarket known today.
Since opening, the store has continued to evolve alongside the community, creating memories for customers while remaining committed to excellent service and local support initiatives.
As celebrations continue, the milestone stands as a tribute not only to business success, but also to the loyalty of customers, the dedication of staff members and the enduring spirit of community that has carried the store through three decades.
For many residents, VINCENT SUPERSPAR has become more than just a supermarket. It is a familiar meeting place, a trusted neighbour and a symbol of consistency and care in the community.

Among the many dedicated staff members who have helped shape VINCENT SUPERSPAR over the past three decades are Elsdon Mason and Lovedrick Mfundi, whose loyalty and commitment have become part of the store’s proud history.
Elsdon Mason has been with the store since May 24, 1996, while Lovedrick Mfundi joined shortly before on May 13, 1996 — both becoming part of the supermarket during its very first month of operation.
Their remarkable years of service reflect the strong sense of family, dedication and community that has defined VINCENT SUPERSPAR for 30 years.
As the store celebrates this milestone anniversary, long-serving staff members such as Mason and Mfundi stand as a testament to the relationships, loyalty and shared journey that have helped make the supermarket a trusted part of the East London community.
