Stirling High School rugby teams showed tremendous determination and fighting spirit when they took on rivals Hudson Park High in the highly anticipated KuGompo Derby.
The derby produced several thrilling encounters across the age groups, with both schools displaying skill, passion and sportsmanship on the field.
Stirling’s U14A side secured a hard-fought 24-19 victory, while the U16A team also claimed an impressive 20-13 win.
The U16B/U15B team delivered a dominant performance, running out convincing 41-0 winners.
The third team continued the winning momentum with a 33-17 triumph, while the second team edged their opponents 13-12 in a closely contested match.
Hudson Park enjoyed success in the U14B fixture, winning 17-5, and the first XV encounter, where they claimed a 22-5 victory.
The U15A match was another tightly fought contest.
Despite the mixed results, Stirling’s teams played with heart and determination throughout the derby, making their school proud in one of KuGompo’s most anticipated school sporting fixtures.
