THE new date for the Eastern Cape Music Awards has finally been announced after the event was postponed twice last year.
The new date is February 25 and it has moved from the Abbotsford Christian Centre to the Orient Theatre.
Due to logistical matters beyond the control of the organisers, the second edition of the awards was postponed to ensure that they bring nothing less than a spectacular occasion filled with glitz and glamour to the fans.
“From now onwards, the event will be held yearly in February or early March. We are going to make sure that we give the audience the best organised event from start to finish. We still have 16 categories for contestation and we have more than 20 artists who will be performing from afro soul, gospel, kwaito and traditional music,” founder of the event Koko Godlo said.
The nominee list is still the same, with the same voting line (33459), with voting closing on February 22.
To vote for your favourite artist, SMS ECMAS-Category-Name of artist to 33459, SMS cost is R1.50.
Tickets are available at Computicket for R190.
