Four trails at superb venues
ENTRIES are officially open for East London’s favourite night time trail running series. And the popular Out the Green Box Nite Series promises to be better than ever before, featuring four events this year.
“The Out the Green Box Nite Series is a fun-for-all event that sees families, runners and walkers of all types participating under the beautifully lit up night sky.
“This event was dreamed up four years ago to expose the East London community to an entirely new dynamic of running or walking at night,” Won Adventure organiser, Bruce Viaene said.
The series will feature four events this year, with each one taking place at a different, dynamic venue.
Cafe De Jardin at Floradale Nursery will host the first event of the series on Friday, June 23, followed by the second event on July 28 at 3 Silo’s Adventure Trails, and the third on September 15 at Lavender Blue.
The final event will take place on October 27 at the East London Golf Club.
“This is one of our favourites on the Won Adventure calendar.
“The East London community truly loves the outdoors and this is an exciting platform that allows our community to experience a simple trail run with an adventure twist,” co-organiser Trystan Viaene said.
The Won Adventure team have once again offered a package deal, featuring the Series Entry and a Non-Apparel Series Entry to those athletes who wish to enter for all four races up front, ensuring they don’t miss out on the limited edition apparel.
Alternatively, each race can be entered separately for those who wish to do so.
The Out the Green Box Nite Series is well known for its limited edition race apparel, and this year will offer the following:
Race one (June 23) – goody bag
Race two (July 28) – race peak
Race three (September 15) – long- sleeve T-shirt
Race four (October 27) – hoodie
Entries are open and are available via www.wonadventure.co.za, alternatively manual entries (cash only) are available at the Out the Green Box store between 7.30am and 4.30pm daily.
