Not content with taking over award ceremonies and radio playlists, Kwesta is set to step into the world of talent scouting with a brand new music competition aimed at his young fans.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Kwesta explained that he will launch a singing competition for children between the ages of three and nine later this week.
The competition will run for much of July on his social media pages and the winner will being crowned on July 31.
“I have been getting so many videos from fans showing their young kids dancing to my music, especially my single Ngiyaz’fela Ngawe. I decided that me and my fans should have some fun with it and start a little competition. It’s not Idols or Lip Sync Battle, it’s just a cute way to show off our children’s talents,” Kwesta said.
The rapper has promised to reward the winner of the competition with a prize but has not yet decided on what that would be.
“I don’t want to throw money at a small child or their parents. So it might be something else. Perhaps we can shoot a video of the winner singing along to the song, or of all the entries, and share it on social media. We still have to decide,” he said.
So watch out for more info on Kwesta’s social media pages!
