THE Rotary Club of Bonza Bay recently donated a computer to Greenpoint Senior Secondary School for use by their pupils.
During a short ceremony, club president Francois Smit handed over the computer, printer, software and paper to the principal, Jeremy Martin, and the teacher in charge of their Interact Club, Brent Julies.
The handover was attended by Rotary assistant governor Angela Woodhall.
A strong contingent of Rotarians and Rotary Anns from the Bonza Bay Rotary Club assisted.
The Rotary District 9370 have a district grant programme which allows clubs to nominate deserving institutions for assistance.
Interact clubs are service clubs at secondary school level doing good work in their respective communities. Greenpoint are a strong and very active club and this year they were the recipients.
The computer, software and new multifunction printer were installed by East London-based computer company Compusys, as part of their support for the local community.
Rotary Bonza Bay are very thankful for their support.
