Buffalo City Metro is appealing to members of the public to help track down large advertising boards on a billboard that were stolen.

The road safety material was taken out of the billboard’s frame on the Northwest Expressway.
The billboard had stated: “Speed kills! Don’t drink and drive” on one side and on the other side “Save water now!”
City spokesman Samkelo Ngwenya said they
could not believe the billboard content was taken.
“It actually came as a shock, almost like unbelievable that people would even dare to think of carrying out such an act, let alone pull it off.
“Such a cowardly act!
“When we heard this we initially contacted the traffic department and later the traffic and law enforcement departments and they both were not aware,” Ngwenya said.
He said the billboard’s contents were stolen either on Monday night or during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
“We appeal to anyone in the know to come forward with information, or if you spot it covering any structure kindly alert us,” said Ngwenya.
