Chef Mabaso will work with a local chef from Key Largo restaurant for this four-handed (two chefs) gastronomic dinner.

The Soweto born chef was trained in classical French cuisine in New York City, following his culinary education in South Africa. He has cooked in restaurants in Florida and New York as well as at the world renowned two Star Michelin restaurant, Le Meurice, under legendary chef Alain Ducasse in Paris, France.

Mabaso currently specializes in contemporary French Haute cuisine, giving special attention to detail which compliments his creative presentation.

Mabaso’s next venture will see him embark on a culinary tour of South Africa using pop up restaurants as a means to make Haute Cuisine accessible to everyone. This will also be used as a platform to select bursary students who will be given the opportunity to train in Paris.

Haute cuisine is French and literally means high cooking or grande cuisine  which refers to the cuisine of “high level” establishments, gourmet restaurants and luxury hotels. It is characterised by the meticulous preparation and careful presentation of food.

For R450 a ticket, guests will experience a meal where only the finest ingredients are used and treated with extreme perfection.

From lamb loin and French lentil ragout cooked in raz al hanout spice, right down to the lemon sculpture, citrus parfait, white chocolate soil and charcoal smoked salted caramel dessert, guests are in for a delicious and high class evening.
