LOCAL band, Can of Worms launch their new album, Unearthed at Legends Showcase Venue tomorrow at 7pm.
Can of Worms is a six-piece indie rock band based in East London. They have been together for two years and in that time have notched up some great achievements:
- Auditioned with the Independent Music Exporters of South Africa (IMEXSA) in East London in October 2015 and were short listed to attend SA Indies Music Week at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg;
- Recorded a full album of original music sponsored by the Eastern Cape Audio Visual Centre;
- Released three singles to date: Kettle of Fish, Sons & Daughters and Living Dead. The singles have been released to radio and all major music digital distribution channels
- Both Kettle of Fish and Sons & Daughters climbed the Wild Coast FM Top 20 to number one, with Living Dead still currently climbing!
The band has shared stages with well-known SA music acts including: Jeremy Loops, Matthew Mole, Majozi, Albert Meinjes, Heather Waters, Manouche, Aston Wylie, The Brothers and more!
Can of Worms is made up of members; Cindy Schenk on lead vocals, April Bosazza (woodwind and keys), Niel van Dyk (electric guitar), Dave Collis (bass), Steve Meise (drums and backing vocals) and Debbie Bezhuidenhout (percussion and sound effects).
“Collectively we have a wealth of musical experience with many years of performance in anything from rock and electronic bands to classical orchestras and swing bands,” read a statement by the band.
