Visit Ashmel SUPERSPAR to share in celebrations

ASHMEL SUPERSPAR are celebrating 25 years of good service and great savings this month.

Del and Leigh McNamara opened Ashmel KWIKSPAR on November 5 1992 and has grown the store tremendously over the years to now be Ashmel SUPERSPAR.

“We closed our store in Komga due to political boycotts in the late-‘80s and early-‘90s and opened Ashmel KWIKSPAR,” explained Del.

She said their complement of 124 staff members ensures their departments are “very strong” with a wide variety of products.

“The deli and the Food 2 Go, along with the coffee bar, are extremely busy over the lunch-hour rush and in the evenings,” she said.

The butchery also has a wide range of value-added products, while the produce department has everything from bulk to chopped and diced value items.

Different breads are baked fresh daily with a confectionary section that will satisfy each and every sweet tooth.

“We concentrate on customer service and quality. We have completed a revamp of the deli and Food 2 Go section, as well as the kiosk where you can pay your municipal bills, buy airtime and electricity.

“TOPS bottlestore is just another added attraction,” Del said.
