BUFFALO City Metro Municipality (BCMM) Executive Mayor Xola Pakati will conclude an intensive back to school campaign today.
The campaign, which started on Monday, was part of implementing government’s overall prioritization of education as an apex.
The week’s activities included a working lunch with mayoral bursary holders to track their progress, spokesman Luzuko Buku said.
Pakati also visited Ngubevu Primary and Ndevana Primary Schools and Bhotwe and Zimasa Primary schools, handing out 50 pairs of shoes at each school.
Tomorrow, 41 bursaries will be handed over to deserving students from East London and King William’s Town at 10am in the City Hall.
