Tigers lose on home soil

 

THE local Super 12 rugby competition saw the Berlin Tigers take on Despatch in a round-robin match in Berlin on Saturday, which the hosts lost by 16-36 in front of their home fans.

In East London, the dominating Swallows Rugby club defeated the East London Police club 32-15 in a home derby game.

In the present momentAt present, the teams from Buffalo City Municipality are placed as follows on the log; in Group A, The Buffaloes Rugby Football Club are at the bottom of the group standings with only one point, and in Group B, Swallows Rugby Football Club is leading with 18 points.

The Berlin Tigers Rugby club are in fifth place with four points and the East London Police rugby club at the bottom with only three points.

The Super 12 Rugby competition continues today with the Buffaloes RFC hosting the Gardens at the Buffalo Park Stadium; Swallows RFC will be hosted by Despatch RFC; and the Berlin Tigers will travel to Port Elizabeth to play against PE Harlequins at the Adcock Stadium.

All the matches will start at 3.30pm.
