MORE than R30000 in prizes was donated at the Annual Golf Day held at the East London Golf Club on Saturday.
Golf convener Terry-Andre Eleftheriou said the aim of the event was to raise funds for East London Round Table, a charitable organisation founded in 1948.
“The work we do in our local communities and across South Africa would never be possible without the generous support of organisations and individuals during fundraising events like these,” he said.
“We feel the day was very successful, thanks to a great turnout and great weather.
“Our sponsors were kind enough to donate over R30000 in prizes,” Eleftheriou said.
East London Round Table also aim are also aiming to build a new facility for Angel Orphanage in Scenery Park, he said.
“Angel Orphanage is our biggest beneficiary.
“We are working towards building a new facility for them,”We invited corporate to come with each other and they play with their friends, it is a fun day,” he said.
